
Nina Alphey
Nina is an enthusiast for community-owned renewable energy. In her previous home village she was an active member of a local grass-roots low carbon living group, organising community events to help residents take steps to reduce their carbon footprints.
As well as being a member of Westmill Solar, she has invested in the Low Carbon Hub. She has served in a variety of committee, public and community roles, including Independent Person (under the Localism Act) for Oxfordshire County Council, and Judge for the national six form debating competition Debating Matters.
She is a mathematical ecologist at the University of Oxford, and is also a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, and has been head of a technical department for a UK accounting firm.
